First Aid at Work

Who Should Attend?
The First Aid at Work training course provides the learner with a workplaces to become a confident first aider at work. This course gives the learner both the ability and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies. It meets the standards required to help comply with Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations.
Candidates need a basic command of English (defined as Level 2). So whilst have English as a first language, our ability to do so is limited by the time available and the number of people who require assistance.
What will you learn? The course will teach learners how to deal with each of the following:
- Acting safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Treating an unconscious casualty (including seizure)
- Wounds and bleeding
- Minor injuries
- Severe burns and scalds
- Preventing cross infection, recording incidents and actions and the use
- Sprains and strains
- Spinal injuries
- Eye injuries
- Chest injuries
- Heart attack
Certification Throughout the course learners will be under continuous observation by the trainer and written assessments are carried out at the end of day one & day three. Successful learners shall receive a Qualsafe Awards certificate that is valid for 3 years.
