Duration: 1 day
Group Size: Maximum 12 learners
Who Should Attend? The emergency first aid training course provides the learner with training in emergency first aid and is especially suited for nominated first aiders in smaller, low risk working environments. It meets the standards required to help comply with Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations.
Pre-requisites: Candidates need a basic command of English (defined as Level 2). So whilst we are often able to provide support to people who for example do not have English as a first language, our ability to do so is limited by the time available and the number of people who require assistance.
What will you learn? The course will teach learners how to deal with each of the following:
Ø Acting safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
Ø Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Ø Treating an unconscious casualty (including seizure)
Ø Wounds and bleeding
Ø Minor injuries
Ø Preventing cross infection, recording incidents and actions and the use of available equipment
Certification Throughout the course learners will be under continuous observation by the trainer and a written assessment is issued at the end of the day. Successful learners shall receive a Qualsafe Awards certificate that is valid for 3 years.
Who are Qualsafe? Qualsafe are the UK’s largest awarding organisation for First Aid & as such is the most widely recognisable & trusted name employers look for. Qualsafe are approved as an awarding organisation by Ofqual, the Office of Qualifications & Examinations Regulation.
Course Fee: £75.00 + VAT per learner
